Upon your arrival at Kochi Airport, you will be welcomed by our trip coordinator, who will then accompany you to a lakeside hotel for check-in. Nestled along the southwest coast of India, Kochi graces the shores of the Arabian Sea. In the evening, you will watch a magnificent dance performance of Kathakali at Kerala Kathakali Centre. The traditional Indian dance form of Kathakali is renowned for its vibrant and elaborate storytelling through dance, music, and elaborate costumes. The performances often depict mythological tales and ancient epics, with skilled artists adorned in colourful costumes and striking makeup. Return to the hotel for a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will proceed to Fort Kochi for exploration. Once an obscure fishing village, Fort Kochi evolved into the first European township in India. The spirit of Fort Kochi resides in its charming lanes adorned with whitewashed churches, colonial cemeteries, art galleries, and bustling cafes offering a diverse range of cuisines. You will discover the historic charm of Fort Kochi through a leisurely stroll. Your exploration includes visits to iconic landmarks like the Pardesi Synagogue and Saint Francis Church. After lunch, you'll travel by road to Kumarakom (60 km, 2 hours). Check in at a lakeside hotel chosen for its blend of comfort, heritage, and lake views, promising a memorable getaway. Planned for the evening is captivating sunset visuals from the deck of a houseboat. Restful night stay at the hotel.

Situated on the scenic banks of Vembanad Lake, Kumarakom is a serene town renowned for its captivating backwaters and verdant landscapes. Enveloped by a web of canals, lagoons, and coconut groves, Kumarakom provides a peaceful retreat amidst nature's abundance. After breakfast, you'll navigate the backwater canals on a traditional boat, gently cruising and providing a glimpse into village life along the waterways. No excursions are planned for the latter part of the day. Feel free to explore the scenic hotel property, indulge in a refreshing plunge pool experience, or treat yourself to a rejuvenating massage at the Ayurveda Centre. Enjoy a tranquil evening by the lakeside. Scrumptious dinner will be followed by a peaceful overnight stay.

Feel free to pursue your interests in the first half of the day. After lunch, a 45-minute drive will take you to Mararikulam, where you'll check into a beautifully crafted beachside resort. There are no scheduled excursions for the next one and half days. Feel free to plan your own activities. Nestled along the pristine shores of the Arabian Sea, Marari Beach beckons with its unspoiled beauty and tranquillity. Renowned for its golden sands, palm-fringed coastline, and crystal-clear waters, Marari offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life. The beach takes its name from the quaint fishing village of Mararikulam, where time seems to slow down. You can relish the simplicity of life, engaging in leisurely strolls, basking in the gentle sea breeze, and witnessing the vibrant hues of sunset over the horizon.

Morning at leisure. After lunch, check-out from the hotel and drive to scenic town of Munnar (160 km, 6 hours). Perched at an elevation of 1600 meters, Munnar is a picturesque hill station known for its lush greenery, misty mountains, and tea plantations. It provides a peaceful retreat amidst nature's bounty. Upon arrival in Munnar, check-in at a hotel for dinner and stay.

After breakfast, embark on a half-day trek. The trek offers a moderate level of difficulty, suitable for beginners and nature enthusiasts. Traverse through winding paths, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and witness the beauty of Munnar's landscapes. It's a refreshing experience to connect with nature and enjoy panoramic views of the hills. Evening at leisure. Dinner and stay at the hotel.

Check-out from the hotel and drive to the temple town Madurai (160 km, 6 hours). Upon arrival, check-in at a hotel. Evening at leisure for much needed rest.

After breakfast, you will pay obeisance at the revered Meenakshi Amman Temple. The history of the Meenakshi Amman Temple is closely associated with the history of Madurai itself. The present-day temple structure was made by the rulers of the Nayak dynasty during the 16th to the 17th century AD. The temple complex is spread over 6 hectares and is a masterpiece of Dravidian architecture. There are 12 Gopurams (entrance towers), which are adorned with 1500 sculptures of divine and demonic beings. The two main shrines of the temple are dedicated to the goddess Meenakshi, and Lord Shiva, who is worshipped as Sundareshwara. You will then check-out from the hotel and head for Madurai International Airport to fly to your onward destination. The exciting trip to Kerala and Madurai concludes.
